DWA Golf made its first acquisition in March of 2012 by purchasing The Golf Club at South Hampton is located in St. Augustine, Florida. The Golf Club at South Hampton was extremely attractive to DWA Golf, as it fits the core principles of the company perfectly. The club is located in a community of over 700 homes and houses a healthy mix of demographics built to lead the Jacksonville and St. Augustine communities for many years to come.


The golf course was designed by former PGA Tour player, Mark McCumber, in 1999 as a player friendly design that still offers an excellent challenge to the more experienced golfer. The course is designed to offer every golfer the appropriate risk/reward situations that challenge the experienced player and offer encouragement to the novice. Sixteen large lakes and over 60 contoured bunkers, in combination with meticulous landscaping, provide players with a superbly conditioned facility. The distinctive layout will test shot-making abilities and require the use of every club in the bag.


The Golf Club at South Hampton boasts of many amenities available for its guests. Rental clubs, golf cart rental, driving range, putting green, chipping area, practice bunker, and golf school to name a few. A restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily and breakfasts on Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, a full bar is also available.
