Once follows a Dublin street musician named Guy who spends most his days working in a Dublin shop with his father fixing vacuums. Yet at night, he escapes and plays his music in local pubs. On the verge of giving up his dreams to become a successful musician, a Czech immigrant, “Girl” hears him play and is relentless in making sure he does not give up playing his guitar. The chemistry between the two grows immensely all while his music reaches new heights. This musical is breathtakingly captivating and draws you in from the moment the curtain draws. It reminds us that you should never give up on your dreams and to never let a low-end job define you.

Once is presented by the Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts.
