Free Tuesdays at the Cummer Museum


Free Tuesdays at the Cummer Museum and its historic Gardens includes free admission to the Museum and Gardens, thanks to the generous support of Florida Blue. This is offered from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Cummer Café remains open each Tuesday evening for Tapas Tuesday—sponsored by VyStar Credit Union.


Located in the historic Riverside section of Jacksonville, the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is just minutes away from Interstate 95. The Cummer Museum overlooks 2.5 acres of historic gardens and is situated on the banks of the St. Johns River. Providing the perfect blend of art, gardens, and education that inspires the imagination, the Cummer Museum is for all ages.


Feel free to take a guided tour of the Cummer Museum’s Permanent Collection, current exhibitions, and Gardens to become acquainted with the Museum. This feature is ideal for if you are visiting on your own, with your children, with friends, or just about anyone!


Enjoy the art of the Cummer Museum as it holds one of the finest art collections in the Southeast. With nearly 5,000 objects in its Permanent Collection, the Museum offers world-class art spanning from 2100 B.C. through the 21st century. Throughout the year there are special exhibits on display and the Museum is also home to the Wark Collection of Early Meissen Porcelain.


Don’t forget to enjoy a stroll through the Museum’s lush gardens. With 2.5 acres of historic gardens, there are unique examples of early 20th century garden design—featuring reflecting pools, fountains, arbors, antique ornaments, and sculptures. There are four beautiful gardens to explore, the English Garden, the Italian Garden, the Olmsted Garden, and the Sculpture Garden. Each garden provides a unique perspective.


The Museum prides itself as being an educational hub. With a hands-on interactive education center, The Museum enhances the cultural learning of visitors of all ages. There are exhibitions for children as young as 18 months to enjoy! Classes are offered to both children and adults to express their creativity through art.
